The protest group  assembled outside the Hungarian Embassy at Eaton Place, where they were met by Lord Dartmouth mep (UKIP).

Nobody answered the door at the Embassy, even though they had been given a week's notice of our intention to deliver letters by hand.

Suddenly armed police officers arrived and asked for the protest to stop.  Lord Dartmouth explained what was going on.

The police had been called by the Embassy to put a stop to our protest, but they hadn’t reckoned on the presence of Lord Dartmouth.  He stood his ground and would not be deterred from meeting our objectives.

After a lot of discussion, it was agreed that Lord Dartmouth and Michael’s father could deliver the letters.  Once inside the Hungarian Embassy, the consulate said "we have already received a great deal of mail regarding this matter, we have sent it all to Budapest, and they will all be answered individually.”

Our mission complete it was time to re-embark upon the coach and head South West. Thank you Lord Dartmouth, it was a struggle, but we met our objectives.

Vincent United Kingdom on 11/24/2009 7:18 PM You're doing a fantastic job!!!! I hope your chaps are released ASAP!!!! They are being treated horrifically!!
Hungary is a wonderful and unique country and Hungarians are a fantastic people. Its a wonderful culture too.
However, its tragic that there is a totally archaic and backward legal system there in some areas. Backed up by some nasty right-wing elements.  You're fighting against these hardcore elements but you're doing all the right things. I hope your efforts bear fruite sooner rather than later. Sincere regards, Vincent

Chubakka Hungary on 11/25/2009 12:46 PM Vajon nem bíznak a britek a magyar igazságszolgáltatásban?

Andy Evans United Kingdom on 11/25/2009 6:38 PM I was there outside the Embassy when the police came and I have the utmost respect for Lord Dartmouth after he stood up to them. I also think that overall the police were pretty good about the whole thing once they saw that we meant no harm. In fact I think everyone involved coducted themselves in an appropriate manner apart from the faceless consulate in the Embassy. Still, with the way Mike and Jason are being treated what else could we have expected?
karan United Kingdom on 11/25/2009 11:27 PM lets hope the boys are back soon, the trip to london went very well and im glad i was able to show my support
Belinda United Kingdom on 11/30/2009 1:52 PM This is a more accurate translation of Chubakka's post. From the lips of a Hungarian friend of mine.

Did not trust the British in the Hungarian judiciary? As the circumstances are such circumstances, there is another prisoner in Hungary. As the 15 political prisoners arrested as well. 3 weeks, 3 times to call? Little? This is the rule. And there are other rules too. But the prison and the remand is not a sanatorium. I do not think that in England every cell phone would be connected, the jacuzzi. Hungarians have had enough of it to begin arriving and are being fucked over, high-hat, cocky k.

Not sure if this is contradictory or not!
Belinda United Kingdom on 11/30/2009 2:22 PM I fear I can not bear to state what the rest of it implies, however it relates possibley to the treatment of Hungarian  possibley political prisoners who would not be known to the outside world if it wasn't for foriegners running into the Police/judiciary.
Sorry but I read this over the phone to my friend so not sure if this is correct,it may not be! it is a shame we aren't able to fully understand what is being quoted, my accent was not good!
