Mike and Jason were put seperately before a court in Budapest today. The Court was in closed session, no Press or public allowed.

Despite Dr. Pakays (lawyer) arguements regarding European human rights, the Judge insisted "This is Hungary and Hungarian law will apply."

They were remanded in custody for a further 30 days even though no charges were laid against them. Even Terrorist suspects get better than that in this Country!

They still have no telephone calls (Jason's poor young wife at home coping with two young children and trying to keep a full time job down is going through hell).  Our heart goes out to her.

No visitors (except the lawyers)

This is a travesty and they should have never been extradited to this crude, savage regime.

michelle marriott United Kingdom on 11/5/2009 6:28 PM well if Hungary wanted to keep there own laws why the hell did they join the EU and sign the Treaty its a disgrace to the system!!! In this county your inicident until proven guilty seems to be the other way round there its time they came into the 21st century you cant treat people this way, there is no way on this earth they would be treated this way here in the UK, also if they were on remand here which would never happen over this they would be allowed visit's daily and free to use the phone who the hell do these Hungarians think they are to treat our lads like this????
Ted Stewart United Kingdom on 11/6/2009 12:10 AM They must be going through hell. Keep up the pressure and don't let this get you down.
Martin Payne United Kingdom on 11/6/2009 12:00 PM It appears that EU laws are fine when it comes to extradition but Hungarian laws apply once they are in the country. This is almost farcical.
Andrew Knight United Kingdom on 11/7/2009 1:27 AM We are all feeling the same way so if we all contact our local MPs then if enough people shout loud enough then perhaps we can get through to the government. I have written to my MP to ask him to look into it. Jason is my step brother and I hope with all my heart that he and Mike pull through this and are brought home soon
