Mike and Jason are being held incommunicado, in direct breach of article 6 of the European Convention on Human rights.

Well Michael and Jason are now somewhere in Budapest.  We are still waiting to hear from them.  We have sent a Hungarian lawyer to find them,  but , he was denied access to them.  We have asked the British consulate to visit, but they say the Hungarian authorities have not informed them that they have Mike or Jason, they are going to investigate!

The politicians assured us they had agreed a parity of systems

1.       Thugs in balaclavas as police officers.

2.       No access to a telephone.

3.       No notification to their consulate.

4.       Denial of access to visitors.

5.       Not allowed a choice of lawyer but must have the one the court appoints.

6.       There will be no jury trial.  Well that just about sums it up!

Let’s hope this is not a parity of systems!

Michael’s member of parliament is jimknightmp@parliament.uk  who has been asked to contact the relevant minster and sort this out.  As yet we have had no reply, why not click on the link and have your say.

Margaret Knight United Kingdom on 11/3/2009 7:02 PM I have already sent an addition to my first letter to my MP. I have written to all the MEPs as well. I will keep writing to them and they are going to get very fed up with me! I am now going to write to Mike MP as well. The more people write, the more likely he is to do something.

It is a nightmare thinking about how Jason and Mike are being treated. Parity? I don't think they know the meaning of the word!

Sian Escott United Kingdom on 11/4/2009 6:26 PM I feel very saddened about how both Jason and Mike have been delt with. Its not just them who have been affected by this ill treatment but the families as well. Its great to see people expressing their support and hope this goes some way in seeing their return.
